Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him.”


The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him.


Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.


And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”


if I covered my transgressions as any man, by hiding my iniquity in my heart,


The folly of man subverts his way, and his heart rages against the Lord.


He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.


But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”


For, being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.


And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites. For the people spared the best of the sheep and oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God, and the rest we have utterly destroyed.”
