Laban said to Jacob, “Since you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what shall your wages be?”


Leah’s eyes were tender, but Rachel was beautiful in form and appearance.


Leah conceived again and gave Jacob a sixth son.


So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field where his flock was,


He put the female servants and their children in front, then Leah and her children next, and then Rachel and Joseph last.


The sons of Leah were Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun.


These were the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.


They buried Abraham and Sarah his wife there. They buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife there, and I buried Leah there.


Then all the people who were at the gate, along with the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming to your house like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you do well in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem!
