His father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.”


When Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, Jacob went near and rolled the stone from the well’s opening and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother.


When Laban heard the news of Jacob his sister’s son, he ran to meet him and embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his house. Then Jacob told Laban all these things.


But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.


Joseph hurried out, for he was deeply moved over his brother and sought a place to weep. So he entered into his chamber and wept there.


He wept so loudly that the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard about it.


Then Moses went out to meet his father-in-law, and bowed down and kissed him; and they asked each other of the other’s welfare, and then they went into the tent.


Now the Lord said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he went and met him at the mount of God, and kissed him.


Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.
