Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; the Lord blessed him.


Then Rebekah took the best clothes belonging to her older son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son.


His father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.”


Then Isaac his father answered him: “Behold, your dwelling shall be away from the fatness of the earth and away from the dew of heaven from above.


Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. So Joseph brought them near to him, and he kissed them and embraced them.


He blessed Joseph and said, “God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who fed me all my life long to this day,


You water its furrows abundantly; You settle its ridges; You make it soft with showers; You bless its growth.


The fig tree springs forth its early figs, and the vine its blossoms; they give forth their fragrance. Arise, my beloved, my beautiful one, and come away.


Of Joseph he said: May his land be blessed of the Lord, from the harvest of the heavens, by the dew, and by the deep crouching beneath,


By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.


For land that drinks in the rain that often falls upon it and bears a crop useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God.
