Now Rebekah had a brother whose name was Laban, and Laban ran out to the man at the well.


And I bowed down my head and worshipped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take the daughter of my master’s brother for his son.


But her brother and her mother said, “Let the young woman remain with us a few days, at least ten; after that she may go.”


So Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.


Jacob told Rachel that he was her father’s relative and that he was Rebekah’s son. Then she ran and told her father.


So Laban went into Jacob’s tent and into Leah’s tent and into the two female servants’ tents, but he did not find them. Then he went out of Leah’s tent and entered into Rachel’s tent.
