Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn and Heth,


He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself toward the ground.


Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them he rose up to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.


Then Abraham bowed before the people of the land.


“Hear us, my lord. You are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our burial places. None of us will withhold from you his burial place that you may bury your dead.”


He spoke with them, saying, “If it be your wish that I bury my dead out of my sight, hear me and entreat Ephron the son of Zohar for me,


So Joseph took them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the ground.


A man of many friends may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.


Pursue peace with all men, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord,


Finally, be all of one mind, compassionate, loving toward one another, gracious, and kind.
