I will make of you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.


What if there are fifty righteous in the city? Shall You also destroy, and not spare the place, for the fifty righteous who are in it?


Behold, this city is close enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Please, let me escape there (is it not a little one?), and my life will be saved.”


Hurry, escape there, for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.


If you do well, shall you not be accepted? But if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. It desires to dominate you, but you must rule over it.”


He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and will not despise their prayer.


He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.


The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.


The Lord said to Moses, “I will do this thing of which you have spoken, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”


Thus says the Lord to this people: Even so they have loved to wander; they have not restrained their feet. Therefore, the Lord does not accept them; He will now remember their iniquity and punish their sins.


A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not quench, until He renders judgment unto victory;


I say to you, though he will not rise and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as much as he needs.


Therefore, in all things it was necessary for Him to be made like His brothers, so that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.


So David received from her hand what she had brought him and said to her, “Go up in peace to your house. See, I have obeyed your voice, and have granted your request.”
