One of them said, “I will certainly return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.


He then brought butter and milk and the calf that he had prepared and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree while they ate.


So Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.


The Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”


So Laban went into Jacob’s tent and into Leah’s tent and into the two female servants’ tents, but he did not find them. Then he went out of Leah’s tent and entered into Rachel’s tent.


The Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”


and to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.


By faith he dwelt in the promised land, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promise,
