He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself toward the ground.


Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet and rest yourselves under the tree.


And he said, “Come in, blessed of the Lord. Why do you stand outside? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”


I have oxen and donkeys, flocks, and male servants and female servants, and I am sending this message to tell my lord, so that I may find favor in your sight.’ ”


Joseph found favor in his sight and served him. So he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put under his charge.


Please do not depart from here until I come to You and bring out my gift and set it before You.” And He said, “I will stay until you return.”


So Gideon went and prepared a young goat and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. He put the meat in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought them out and offered them to Him under the oak.


And the angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened bread, lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” And so he did.
