I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has come to Me. If not, I will know.”


The men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.


So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the entire place for their sakes.”


Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. It was from the Lord out of heaven.


When she came to the man of God at the mountain, she grabbed his feet. Gehazi approached to push her away. But the man of God said, “Let her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.”


Did You not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham Your friend?


The secret counsel of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will make His covenant known to them.


Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His purpose to His servants the prophets.


I no longer call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I have heard from My Father have I made known to you.


The Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God.
