Then Abraham took Ishmael, his son, and all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s household, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very same day as God had said to him.


Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.


But every man’s servant bought with money, when you have circumcised him, may eat it.


Likewise you must do the same with your oxen and with your sheep. Seven days it shall remain with its mother, but on the eighth day you must give it to Me.


On the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.


On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child. And they were calling him Zechariah, after the name of his father.


When eight days had passed and the Child was circumcised, He was named Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.


Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision. And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. And Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.


He is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is external in the flesh.
