Then God said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations.


Then David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, saying, “Give me my wife Michal, to whom I was betrothed for a hundred Philistine foreskins.”


Now when a stranger sojourns with you and keeps the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it. And he shall be as one who is born in the land. However, no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.


Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, and said, “Surely you are a bloody husband to me!”


Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision. And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. And Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.


And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith that he had while being uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them also,


Therefore, circumcise your heart, and do not be stubborn anymore.


So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the Israelites at the Hill of the Foreskins called Gibeath Haaraloth.
