He stretches out the north over empty space, He hangs the earth upon nothing.

Like flying birds, so the Lord of Hosts will defend Jerusalem. He will defend and deliver it; He will pass over and preserve it.


For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, who is God, who formed the earth and made it, who has established it, who did not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord, and there is no other.


I looked on the earth, And behold, it was without form and void. And to the heavens, and they had no light.


She is desolate, empty, and waste! Hearts melt away, and knees shake; pain is in all the loins, and all their faces grow pale.


For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
