Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness. Let him rebuke me; it shall be an excellent oil for my head; let my head not refuse it. Yet my prayer is still against the deeds of the wicked.


Those who sit in the gate speak against me, and I am the song of the drunkards.


He who despises instruction will be destroyed, but he who respects a commandment will be rewarded.


Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains instruction, but he who heeds reproof will be honored.


One rebuke goes deeper into a wise man than a hundred blows into a fool.
