So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in terms of riches and wisdom.


I did not believe it until I came and saw it with my own eyes! And behold, the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity are greater than the stories I heard!


behold, I now do according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you in the past, and there shall never arise another like you.


The Lord highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had never been on any king in Israel before him.


Now Solomon the son of David strengthened himself over his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and made Solomon exceedingly great.


I spoke in my heart saying, “I have been great and increased in wisdom more than anyone else who has been before me in Jerusalem, and my heart has observed great wisdom and knowledge.”


When there is an increase of good things, there is an increase of those who devour them. And what profit is there to the one who owns good things, except to see them with his eyes?
