There is not a remembrance of the former things, and, moreover, there will not be a remembrance of the things yet to come, even by those who are yet to come.


What has been is the same as what will be, and what has been done is the same as what will be done. There is nothing really new under the sun.


Then I turned to observe wisdom, the folly of ideas, and foolish behavior. For what else can a person do who comes after the king? Only what has already been done.


What has already been has been named and determined, and it is already designated what will happen to a person; he cannot contend with Him who is stronger than he.


Rejoice and be very glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in this manner they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds and worthless concerning the faith.
