should we again break Your commandments and intermarry with the people of these abominations? Would You not become so completely angry with us that there would be no remnant, nor any who escape?


The tablets were God’s work, and the writing was God’s writing, engraved on the tablets.


But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man does them, he shall live. And My Sabbaths they greatly polluted. Then I said I would pour out My fury upon them in the wilderness to consume them.


The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.


For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which the Lord was wrathful against you to destroy you. But the Lord listened to me at that time also.
