the son of Geber in Ramoth Gilead (to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh which are in Gilead, and also the region of Argob which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and iron bars);


So they killed him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was not a survivor left to him alive, and they possessed his land.


The rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. (All the region of Argob, with all Bashan, was called the land of giants.


Jair, the son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called the villages after his own name, Havvoth Jair, as it is to this day.)


So the Lord our God delivered Og, the king of Bashan, with all his people, into our hands also, and we struck him down until there was no survivor remaining.


All these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, besides a great many rural towns.


They possessed his land, and the land of Og, king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were across the Jordan toward the east,


and Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of the giants, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei
