I have surely heard Ephraim pleading: “You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf; turn me back and I will be turned, for you are the Lord my God.


This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: Tell the Israelites that they will bring you a healthy red heifer, which has no blemish, and on which a yoke has never gone,


At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister to Him, and to bless in His name, to this day.


then your elders and your judges are to come forth, and they must measure how far it is to the cities which are around him who was slain.


and the elders of that city must bring down the heifer to a valley with flowing water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer’s neck there in the valley.


And being found in the form of a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.


“Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milk cows on which there has never been a yoke. Then tie the cows to the cart and bring their calves home, away from them.
