Zedekiah the son of Kenaanah made horns of iron and said, “Thus says the Lord: With these you shall push the Arameans until you have consumed them.”


You know that I am not wicked, and there is none who can deliver out of Your hand.


Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.


“Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:


lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.


Because you have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns until you have scattered them abroad,


But he who comes against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him. And he shall stand in the Pleasant Land, which shall be consumed by his hand.


“The king shall do according to his will. And he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak blasphemous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper until the indignation is accomplished, for that which is determined shall be done.


And for the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he slaughtered, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he set up, and whom he would, he put down.


That same night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was slain.


And behold, another beast appeared, a second, like a bear, and it raised itself up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said to it, “Arise, devour much flesh.”


I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with rage against him, and struck the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and stamped on him. And there was none who could deliver the ram out of his hand.


The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which when it passes through, tramples and mauls, without rescuer.


His glory is like the firstborn of his bull, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox; with them he will push the peoples together to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
