2 “And now I will tell you the truth. Behold, three more kings shall stand up in Persia, and a fourth shall be far richer than all of them; and by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece.

Then the work of the house of God in Jerusalem ceased. So it ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.


In the days of Artaxerxes, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of their companions wrote to Artaxerxes king of Persia, and the writing of the letter was written in Aramaic, and interpreted in Aramaic.


Now in the days of Ahasuerus, who reigned from India to Cush, over one hundred and twenty-seven provinces,


to make you know the certainty of the sayings of truth, that you might answer sayings of truth to those who sent you?


In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar, and the message was true and one of great conflict. And he understood the message and had understanding of the vision.


“He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army. But he shall not stand, for schemes shall be devised against him.


And behold, another beast appeared, a second, like a bear, and it raised itself up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said to it, “Arise, devour much flesh.”


The rough goat is the king of Greece, and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.


“And the vision of the evenings and the mornings, which was told, is true. Therefore shut up the vision, for it deals with many days in the future.”


I saw the ram pushing westward and northward and southward. No animal could stand before him. There was not any who could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will and became great.


Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His purpose to His servants the prophets.


If He called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken,


He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Then He said to me, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
