15 Then the king of the North shall come and set up a siege mound and capture a fortified city. And the forces of the South shall not withstand him; neither shall his chosen best troops have strength to resist.

For thus says the Lord God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which were torn down to make a defense against the siege mounds and against the sword:


Go up upon her walls and destroy, but make not a full end. Take away her battlements. For they are not the Lord’s.


In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and laid siege to it; they built a siege wall all around it.


For thus says the Lord of Hosts: Hew down trees and build a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished. She is full of oppression in her midst.


Nor shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war by casting up mounts and building forts to cut off many persons.


Then lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and build a mound against it; set camps and place battering rams against it all around.


“In those times many shall stand up against the king of the South. Also the robbers of your people shall exalt themselves to fulfill the vision, but they shall fall.


In the end of some years they shall join themselves together, for the king’s daughter of the South shall come to the king of the North to make an agreement. But she shall not retain her position of power, and neither he nor his power shall stand. But she shall be given up with those who brought her, he who fathered her, and he who strengthened her in those times.


I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with rage against him, and struck the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and stamped on him. And there was none who could deliver the ram out of his hand.


No man will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, I will be with you. I will not abandon you. I will not leave you.
