Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already accepted your works.


When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a considerable crowd. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.


Then every disciple, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea.


but declared first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do works proving their repentance.


Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he could see again. And he rose up and was baptized.


When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples. But they all feared him, not believing he was a disciple.


Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, pleading, “Do not delay to come to us.”


nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me. But I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.


And they gave him a part of a cake of figs and two cakes of raisins. When he had eaten, his spirit came back to him, for he had not eaten bread or drunk any water for three days and nights.
