Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.


came and stood by me, and said, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that moment I looked up at him.


And now why do you wait? Rise, be baptized and wash away your sins, and call on the name of the Lord.’


Then Ananias went his way and entered the house. Putting his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the way as you came, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”


When he had eaten, he was strengthened. For several days Saul was with the disciples in Damascus.


Saul rose up from the ground. And when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.


Instead, their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the old covenant, the veil which was done away with in Christ.


For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
