The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon toward Gerar to Gaza, and then to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.


But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is not a God in Israel, that you go to inquire of Baal-Zebub the god of Ekron?’


craftsmen in gold, silver, bronze, and iron without number. Rise up and work, and may the Lord be with you.”


Ashkelon will observe this and fear; Gaza as well and will writhe in anguish; even Ekron, her hope will be confounded. The king of Gaza will perish, and no one will inhabit Ashkelon.


They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a man who is righteous and fears God and is of good report throughout the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to summon you to his house to hear your words.”


When the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who continually waited on him.


Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give God the glory. And he was eaten by worms and died.


For there stood by me this night the angel of God to whom I belong and whom I serve,


But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and led them out, and said,


The Spirit said to Philip, “Go to this chariot and stay with it.”


Philip went down to the main city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.


Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to minister to those who will inherit salvation?
