For the saying that he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel and against all the houses of the high places that are in the cities of Samaria shall surely come to pass.”


But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit. Some produce a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”


He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us to eat it.”


He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him. The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.


The apostles and the brothers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.


When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared what God had done through them.


These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all eagerness, daily examining the Scriptures, to find out if these things were so.


Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.


And Saul was consenting to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem. And they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.


When James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, understood the grace that was given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.


For this reason we thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, which effectively works also in you who believe.


We sent Timothy, who is our brother and minister of God and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish and comfort you with regard to your faith,


and with all deception of unrighteousness among those who perish, because they did not receive the love for the truth that they might be saved.
