The Lord appeared to him that same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for the sake of My servant Abraham.”


Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. God will surely come to you and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”


When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood in the entrance to the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “Why are you here, Elijah?”


terror and trembling came to me, which made all my bones shake.


God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around Him.


God, moreover, said to Moses, “Thus you will say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’


Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.


He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live.”


“This is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”


When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were filled with awe.


‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’ ? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”


No one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare to ask Him any more questions.


When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”


The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His Son Jesus, whom you handed over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.


When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight. As he drew near to look at it, the voice of the Lord came to him, saying,


But they desired a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.


When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though I were dead. Then He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
