Behold, your servant has found grace in your eyes, and you have shown your mercy, which you have shown to me by saving my life. However, I cannot escape to the mountain. Otherwise some evil will overtake me, and I will die.


He said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Moses feared and said, “Surely this thing is known.”


When He entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came up to Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”


Jesus said to him, “Man, who appointed Me a judge or an arbitrator between you?”


When they had stood them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”


When they heard this, they were cut to the heart with rage and took counsel to kill them.


“This Moses, whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who appointed you a ruler and a judge?’ God sent as both ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.


whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust away. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,


When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart with rage, and they gnashed their teeth at him.
