The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn back.


Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me.”


But if I say, “I will not make mention of Him nor speak anymore in His name,” then His word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones; and I was weary of forbearing it, and I could not endure it.


I did so as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day as baggage for captivity, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands. I brought it out at twilight, carrying it on my shoulder in their sight.


So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.


But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found there a ship going to Tarshish. He paid its fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.


to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’


“King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate that today I shall make my defense before you against all the accusations of the Jews,


but declared first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do works proving their repentance.


to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,
