And the next day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them and had called together his relatives and close friends.


So he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.


Now those who were scattered by the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, preaching the word to no one except Jews.


Then there arose a sharp contention, so that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus,


After much disputing, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that some time ago God decided among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.


The next day we who were Paul’s companions departed, and arrived at Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.


Joseph, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means, Son of Encouragement), a Levite from the land of Cyprus,


But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached the gospel in all the cities until he came to Caesarea.


Greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen and fellow prisoners, who are noteworthy among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.


yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you —I, Paul, an old man, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ —
