The simple gives credence to every word, but the prudent attends to his steps.


The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.


The wisdom of the prudent is to consider his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.


The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.


Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever prudent, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the just will walk in them; but the transgressors stumble in them.


When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed and was astonished at the teaching of the Lord.


But Elymas the sorcerer (which is his name by interpretation) opposed them, trying to divert the proconsul from the faith.


When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews in unity attacked Paul and brought him to court,


So if Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a complaint against anyone, the courts are open and there are proconsuls. Let them press charges against one another.


Examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good.
