In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.


After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.


You are witnesses of these things.


Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened,


And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.


They said, “Men of Galilee, why stand looking toward heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you to heaven, will come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”


until the day when He was taken up, after He had given commandments through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen,


God raised up this Jesus, of which we all are witnesses.


With great power the apostles testified to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on them all.


how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
