Buy truth, and sell it not; also wisdom and instruction and understanding.


She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; blessed are those who retain her.


My son, let them not depart from your sight; keep sound wisdom and discretion,


Take hold of instruction; do not let her go; guard her, for she is your life.


Counsel and sound wisdom are mine; I have understanding; I have power.


an instructor of the foolish, and a teacher of babes, who have the full content of knowledge and truth in the law:


But thanks be to God, for you were slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of teaching to which you were entrusted,


Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether or not I come and see you, I may hear of your activities, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel,


Do those things which you have both learned and received, and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.


For we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints,


Examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good.


for the sexually immoral, for practicing homosexuals, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for anything else that is contrary to sound teaching,


The grace of our Lord overflowed with the faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.


Anyone who teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to godly teaching


Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,


Guard the treasure that was committed to you through the Holy Spirit who lives in us.


Share the things that you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses with faithful men who will be able to teach others also.


But continue in the things that you have learned and have been assured of, knowing those from whom you have learned them,


For the time will come when people will not endure sound teaching, but they will gather to themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, having itching ears,


holding firmly the trustworthy word that is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort with sound teaching and to convince those who oppose it.


But as for you, teach what is fitting of sound instruction:


and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that the one who opposes you may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.


Let us firmly hold the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.


But Christ is faithful over God’s house as a Son, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of our hope firm to the end.


Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to our confession.


Beloved, while I diligently tried to write to you of the salvation we have in common, I found it necessary to write and appeal to you to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.


But hold firmly what you have until I come.


“Look, I am coming quickly. Hold firmly what you have, so that no one may take your crown.


Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
