Afterward, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and David took Metheg Ammah from the hand of the Philistines.


David did just as God commanded him, and they struck the camp of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer.


Then the Israelites went and did so. Just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
