“So, your servant thought, ‘May the word of my lord the king provide rest. For like the angel of God, my lord the king discerns good from evil. May the Lord your God be with you.’ ”

With him were a thousand men from Benjamin. And Ziba, the servant of the house of Saul, with his fifteen sons and twenty servants, rushed down to the Jordan before the king.


So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he ate continually at the table of the king. Now he was lame in both of his feet.


The king said, “Is there no one else from the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God?” Ziba responded to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet.”


Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him will I destroy; whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart, him will I not endure.


he who does not slander with the tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;


You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.


Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust in any brother; for every brother supplants, and every neighbor walks about with slanders.
