Then David sent word to Tamar at the house, “Please go to the house of Amnon your brother, and prepare food for him.”


Then she took the baking tray and served the cakes to him, but he refused to eat. Amnon said, “Send everyone away.” So they all left him.


“Cursed is he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.” And all the people shall say, “Amen.”


Now the woman had a fattened calf in the house, and she hurried and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and baked unleavened bread from it.
