The woman conceived. So she sent a message and reported to David, “I am pregnant.”


When Uriah came to him, David asked about the welfare of Joab, the people, and the fighting.

Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and he swore, “I do not know the Man.” Then immediately a cock crowed.


Then he said, “I have sinned, yet please honor me before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn back with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.”
