“So, if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert,’ do not go there; or, ‘Look, He is in the private chambers,’ do not believe it.


“Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.


Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.


“Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word;


He will strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.


that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,


that you may be blameless and harmless, sons of God, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world.


But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,


To this end may He establish your hearts to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.


May the very God of peace sanctify you completely. And I pray to God that your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


to keep this commandment without blemish, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,


so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to save those who eagerly wait for Him.


Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.


in order that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried by fire, may be found to result in praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,


This is now, beloved, the second epistle I am writing to you, in which I am stirring up your sincere minds by way of reminder,


As in all his letters, he writes about these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable distort, as they also do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.


Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
