The Arameans had gone out raiding and had taken captive a little girl from the land of Israel, and she waited on the wife of Naaman.


So Naaman went in and told his lord, “Thus and so spoke the girl from the land of Israel.”


But when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent word to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come to me, and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.”


Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Oh, that all the people of the Lord were prophets, and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”


The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.


Paul said, “I pray to God that not only you, whether in a short or long time, but all who hear me this day, might become what I am, except for these chains.”


Now you are full! Now you are rich! You have begun reigning as kings without us! And I would that you did reign, so that we also might reign with you.
