Ahab said to Elijah, “Have you found me, my enemy?” And he answered, “I have found you, because you have sold yourself to work evil in the sight of the Lord.


But there were none compared to Ahab, who sold himself to evil deeds in the sight of the Lord, which Jezebel his wife stirred up.


Then Jehu gathered all the people and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him much.


He did evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done.


He made his son pass through the fire, was conjuring and seeking omens, and dealt with mediums and soothsayers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger.


When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Is it peace, Jehu?” And he said, “What peace, so long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her sorceries are so many?”


Then he entered, ate and drank, and said, “Attend to that cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king’s daughter.”


You must not bow down to their gods, or serve them, or do according to their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break down their images in pieces.


Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? And why did you rush upon the spoil and do evil in the sight of the Lord?”
