Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to the city while his servants were besieging it,


He did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father had done.


The city came under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.


And some of your sons who descend from you, whom you shall father, shall be taken away. And they shall become officials in the palace of the king of Babylon.”


The Lord showed, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the officials of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths from Jerusalem, and brought them to Babylon.


Israel is a scattered flock. The lions have driven him away. First the king of Assyria devoured him; and this last one who has broken his bones is Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.


You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together. And let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain. It is the sword of the great one slain, which surrounds them.
