Then the king of Assyria sent the Tartan, the Rabsaris, and the Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah with a great army against Jerusalem. So they went up and came to Jerusalem. When they went up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is on the highway of the Fuller’s Field.


Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’


Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their land out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”


Whom have you taunted and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised a voice and lifted your eyes upward? Against the Holy One of Israel.


When the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah,


And he said, “Do not be afraid, for there are more with us than with them.”


And he said, “Pay attention all Judah, and those dwelling in Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear, nor be dismayed because of this great army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.


It will not be necessary for you to fight in this conflict. Take your positions, stand, and observe the deliverance of the Lord for you, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be filled with terror. Tomorrow, go out before them, and the Lord will be with you.”


Remember this, that the enemy has reviled, O  Lord, and that a foolish people has blasphemed Your name.


Do not forget the voice of Your enemies, the tumult of those who rise up against You, which increases continually.


But Moses said to the people, “Fear not! Stand firm! And see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show you today. For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see again.


Therefore, thus says the Lord God of Hosts: O My people who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and shall lift up his staff against you, after the manner of Egypt.


Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My law; do not fear the reproach of men nor be afraid of their revilings.


and said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before Him:


You drew near on the day I called on You, and You said, “Do not fear!”


Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.


When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, and chariots, and a people that outnumber you, do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.


The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for about this time tomorrow I will make them dead before Israel. Hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”


He opened his mouth to speak blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle and those who dwell in heaven.
