Nevertheless, for David’s sake, the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem,


In those days the Lord began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.


Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.


Because this people refuses the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and the son of Remaliah,


before your wickedness was uncovered, so now you have become the reproach of the daughters of Edom and all who are around her, the daughters of the Philistines, those all around who despise you.
