15 Then he left there and found Jehonadab son of Rekab coming to meet him. He greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart right with me, as my heart is with yours?” And Jehonadab said, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and he pulled him up to him into the chariot.

Early in the morning Laban rose up, kissed his grandchildren and his daughters, and blessed them. Then Laban departed and returned to his place.


And Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.


Then Joseph brought in Jacob his father and presented him to Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.


Now the men were diligently looking for a positive sign and quickly took hold of it, and they said, “Your brother Ben-hadad!” Then he said, “Go. You bring him.” Then Ben-hadad came to him and got into the chariot.


Jehu found the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah and said, “Who are you?” And they said, “We are brothers of Ahaziah, and we have come down to visit the sons of the king and the sons of the queen mother.”


He said, “Capture them alive.” So they took them alive and slaughtered them at the pit of Beth-eked, forty-two men. Not a man of them remained.


Then Joram said, “Hitch my chariot.” So his chariot was hitched, and Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot. They went out to meet Jehu and found him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.


The families of the scribes who lived at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites. They are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rekab.


They committed to sever their relations with their women, and, being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their guilt.


But the Refuse Gate was repaired by Malkijah the son of Rekab, commander of the Beth-haccherem district. He rebuilt it and erected its doors with its locks and bars.


Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?


Go to the house of the Rekabites and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.


Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, behold, when he had given his allegiance and has done all these things, he shall not escape.


He said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.


When James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, understood the grace that was given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.


Brothers, I ask you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong.
