The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;


for I give you good teaching; do not forsake my teaching.


Your words were found and I ate them. And Your word became to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O  Lord God of Hosts.


Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who is discipled for the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is master of the household who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”


it seemed good to me also, having accurately investigated all things from the very beginning, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus,


In those days Peter stood up among the disciples (the number of people together was about one hundred and twenty), and said,


Therefore watch, remembering that for three years night and day I did not cease to warn everyone with tears.


In all things I have shown you how, working like this, you must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’  ”


Nevertheless, brothers, I have written even more boldly to you on some points, to remind you, because of the grace that is given to me from God,


Therefore I have sent Timothy to you. He is my beloved son and is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.


Are they servants of Christ? I speak as a fool. I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, often facing death.


who has made us able ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.


But in all things we commend ourselves as servants of God: in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distress,


Now that you also may know my activities and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you.


For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your welfare.


But you know of his proven worth, that as a son with a father, he has served with me in the gospel.


Nevertheless, according to what we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.


and not supporting the head, from which the entire body, nourished and knit together by joints and sinews, grows as God gives the increase.


Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.


Tychicus, who is a beloved brother and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me.


We sent Timothy, who is our brother and minister of God and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish and comfort you with regard to your faith,


for the sexually immoral, for practicing homosexuals, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for anything else that is contrary to sound teaching,


Take heed to yourself and to the teaching. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.


Anyone who teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to godly teaching


Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on of my hands.


But you have observed my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, tolerance, love, patience,


For the time will come when people will not endure sound teaching, but they will gather to themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, having itching ears,


But as for you, teach what is fitting of sound instruction:


As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow,


Whoever transgresses and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.


Now I want to remind you, though you already know, that the Lord saved the people out of the land of Egypt and afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
