The Lord became angry against Uzzah, and God struck him down on the spot for his irreverence. He died there beside the ark of God.


So Jehoash king of Israel went up, and they faced each other, he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Beth-shemesh, which is in Judah.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, warn the people, lest they force their way to the Lord to look, and many of them perish.


When the people heard this disturbing word, they mourned. And no one put on his ornaments.


When the tabernacle sets out, the Levites will take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites will set it up, and the foreigner that approaches will be put to death.


When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set out, after that, the sons of Kohath will come to carry it. But they will not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.


Do not cut the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites.


But they will not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.


The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may keep all the words of this law.


Do not let anyone cheat you of your reward by delighting in false humility and the worship of angels, dwelling on those things which he has not seen, vainly arrogant due to his unspiritual mind,


For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins first with us, what shall the end be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
