The ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.


When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him from far off, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.


And he said to Judah, “Let us build up these cities and let us surround them with walls, towers, gates, and bars. The land before us is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought Him, and He has given us peace all around.” So they built and had success.


And Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, “Who is David? And who is the son of Jesse? Today many servants are breaking away each one from his master.


Ask your young men and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we have come on a good day. Please give whatever you find at hand to your servants, and to your son David.’ ”
