After this, David consulted the Lord, asking, “Shall I go to one of the cities of Judah?” The Lord responded to him, “Go up.” David asked, “Where should I go?” And He said, “Hebron.”


So David asked the Lord, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” The Lord said to David, “Go up, because I will certainly give them into your hand.”


This is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord, and He will give the Moabites into your hand.


Then David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” The Lord answered, “Go up against them, and I will give them into your hand.”


Then you shall rise up for the ambush and take possession of the city. The Lord your God will give it into your hands.


Then Gideon said to God, “Do not let Your anger burn against me as I speak only one more time. Please let me perform a test with the fleece one more time. Please, let the fleece be the only thing dry, and let there be dew on all of the ground.”


The Lord said to Gideon, “With three hundred men who lapped, I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. All the rest of the people should go home.”


That night the Lord said to him, “Get up and go down into the camp, for I have given it into your hands.


Therefore they inquired again of the Lord, “Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord answered, “Behold, he has hidden himself among the equipment.”


Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines, and rescue Keilah.”


The men of David said to him, “Behold, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then, if we go down to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”


Then David and his men went to Keilah. He fought with the Philistines and carried off their livestock, and he struck them with a great slaughter. So David rescued the inhabitants of Keilah.


Saul inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams, or by lots, or by prophets.


David inquired at the Lord, saying, “Should I pursue after this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue them, for you will surely overtake them and will surely recover all.”
