The heart of man devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps.


As rivulets of water is the heart of a king in the hand of the Lord; wherever He pleases is where He directs it.


The Lord put a word in the mouth of Balaam and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you will speak.”


Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling in their tents by their tribes, and the Spirit of God came on him.


Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonderful works in Your name?’


He did not say this on his own authority. But being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,


If I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.


When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him. And the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.


A man of the place answered, “But who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”


And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them. And you will be turned into another man.


The next day an evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he raved in his house. David was playing the lyre, as at other times. Now there was a spear in Saul’s hand.


Now David fled, and he escaped and came to Samuel at Ramah. And he reported to him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and stayed in Naioth.


Then Saul sent messengers to take David, but when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying and Samuel taking his stand over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul and they also prophesied.


Then he also went to Ramah and came to the great well that is in Seku. And he asked and said, “Where are Samuel and David?” And one said, “Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.”
