David became very angry because of this man. He said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who did this deserves to die.


Say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? May God do to me, and more so, if you are not commander of the army before me from now on in the place of Joab.’ ”


May God do so to Abner, and more also, for as the Lord has sworn to David, this I will do for him,


Have you found honey? Eat only as much as is sufficient for you, lest you be filled with it and vomit it out.
